A walk to the park

It is a beautiful day in Japan... and I took a walk to the park. I went and walked into two of my students on the way there. They were walking home from Paino lessons! It was neat to see them outside of school. The park was beautiful and I was able to read my bible and enjoy the nature that God had placed there for me to enjoy. I also read some of Saving Nick by Susan Warrens! It was awesome to have time to read fiction again. I have a hard time with the busy teaching schedual. After my walk I went to a new grocery store and I ended up meeting two more of my students! It was a blessing from God. It helped me feel like I am getting to know this community more and more. On the way home i was able to pet a dog Ipu who realy loved the attention! It was awesome to get dog loving in again! Yeah for a God who provides!

Wow, does time fly when you are working hard. Student teaching in Colorado was a blessings. I think I learned twice as much as I actualy taught. Yet by the final day of teaching it was hard to say good bye. It is wierd how much you get attached to children and you dont even realise how attached they have grown and you have grown. I shed many tears, as they said their special words about how much they liked me. I will miss them all.
But now with graduating. I get to start in on a new adventure. I will go into life and share the good news of Jesus in Japan!!!! I am very excited to go, and I look foward to the preparpation for going. There will be a lot of work, but GOD WILL PROVIDE!!!! Please pray as I start into this new journey of life.

An Update... Since it has been a while.

Wow dear friends, it has been a while since I have had the time to get online and actual write instead of quickly read emails and then go off to work again. Student teaching takes me into the late hours working to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Yet there are always bumps to make the journey in the classroom exciting ones. Well since I am almost done with student teaching I have been asked the question many times. "What are you going to do with your life? Well so far as the wind blows I have been in contact with LCMS World Missions. They have given me a choice of two places that I could go to do mission work Taiwan or to Japan. After much prayer and deliberation I have chosen to go to Japan. Please pray for me as I prepare to do work over there.
God’s riches blessings,
Jenae

The First Week

I finished my first week of student teaching last week. I have always heard of how hard teaching was and I was able to experience it first hand! It went very well and I even started teaching two subjects, Math and Religion! I feel like I'm reliving moments of my childhood in 3rd grade every day. Too bad I'm trying to figure out what to teach so trying to add in fun activities is not as often as I would like. I'm hoping I can change that every so often. Well off to other assignemts. Good night!

Ending of the Quarter

So life has started to go by so quickly. I have so many things I want to put up and then life starts and it doesn't get put up. I have finished my last day in my Early Childhood classes and only have the take home final exam to complete before I move on to Student Teaching! It is sad leaving the kids I have been working with at the CDC. It was a wonderful experience. For our end of the project we went fishing! We invited our families and on a Thursday night we went fishing with them! It was a wonderful experience. I have some great pictures!

This is Macie with her fishing pole that she made!
This is Nick with the tackle box that his uncle let him borrow!

Brent is in for the long hull!

And luckily for us at the end of the night Jacob caught a fish!!! Don't worry we let him go, yet he ran away with the hook.

Now that the project is done I'm Focusing on other things. Such as student teaching in a week! I found out where I'm going! I'm at St. Johns Lutheran school, in the Third Grade! I'm excited about it. I start methods classes next week at 7:30. Meaning I must join the real world and wake up early to get moving with the real world. It will be worth it though. So this has been my life for the past weeks I have not said anything. I pray you are all doing well.

God's Blessings,

-me

Tiger Fish

This morning I went to the CDC as usual to continue working with the Kids on our fish project. We started the day webbing what we knew about fish. It helped us see what the children had learned and to also see where the children wanted to go in the future. Well we got a lot of interest in fishing. THe children talked about all the fish they had caught, big fish, slimy fish, Fish they caught with their grandpas, dads, and families. Mrs Sommers was thinking on her feet and said "why dont we make fishing poles?" So some of the children made fishing poles. They could not stop with practing fishin with out fish. So we got out the blue cloth and the sea animals and they started fishing there. They tied Sharks, wales, crabs, and fish to their poles and went fishing! It was fun to watch. Well one of the boys was fishing around and put a tiger on the end of his pole. It was fun and then he said "Look I caught a tiger fish!" I about died laughing. It made my morning. I wanted to take a picture but it fell off before I could. It was the funnest thing. I hope you have a great morning!
